Chatham Waterfront Bus Station

Coaches visiting Chatham town centre and theatres are now required to pre-book their visit at least 48-hours in advance if they wish to enter Chatham Waterfront bus station.

The coach setting-down and collection point is only permitted at Bus Stop D19 Waterfront Way. Coach drivers have a 15-minute waiting time in this area and must go to Curtis Way Coach Park in Rochester to park.  CCTV cameras are in operation in this area 24/7 and drivers not adhering to these arrangements and restrictions are at risk of being issued with a penalty charge notice for non-compliance.

How to book

Please email the bus station manager and parking services at least 48-hours in advance providing the following information:

  • Preferred departure time
  • Estimated arrival time
  • Date of visit
  • Coach company name and contact details (inc. phone, email and address)
  • Vehicle registration number (if known)
  • Reason for visit

If details are not provided by the relevant timescale there is a risk that a penalty charge notice will be issued.   No parking at the bus station is permitted at any time.

This area will be supervised at all times by the bus station staff and coaches that have not pre-booked may be turned away as priority will be given to those that have registered.
